Case’s origins date to 1842 when Jerome Case started the Racine Threshing Machine Works Company. Today, Case is headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, and is a leading global manufacturer of construction and agriculture equipment.

Case merged with New Holland in 1999 as part of an acquisition the Fiat Group made to form a CNH Global division. In 2013, CNH Global and Fiat Industrial merged to form CNH International, which includes the Case and New Holland brands. Today, Case’s operations are divided into the Case CE (construction) and Case IH (agriculture) brands. Globally, CNH International touts 12 brands, 64 plants, and more than 63,000 employees in 180 countries.

Following the manufacturing of the first portable steam engine in 1869—credited as the advent of road construction—Case would later release a line of products in 1912 for building roads that included the grader. In 1957, Case brought the industry’s first factory-integrated tractor loader/backhoe to market. In 1967, Case entered the excavator market, and in 2005, Case manufactured its 500,000 tractor loader backhoe. In 2017, the company introduced a new C series of mini excavators.

Case’s construction equipment includes backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, compaction equipment, crawler dozers, excavators, forklifts, motor graders, skid steer loaders, tractor loaders, wheel loaders, and a range of attachments.
