    About Fruehauf

Fruehauf began around 1920 as a manufacturer of truck trailers based in Detroit, Michigan. Fruehauf built the first semi-trailer in 1914 and was in operation until roughly 1997. The company went under the names Fruehauf Trailer Company, Fruehauf Corporation, and Fruehauf Trailer Corporation throughout that time, and the brand name is still alive to some degree in New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, and France. However, you can still find Fruehauf trailers for sale on MarketBook with varying lengths and widths for different applications, and you’ll see everything from flatbed trailers to enclosed trailers with curbside side doors, and everything else in between.
