AGCO Brings Fendt 300 Vario Gen4 Series Of Compact Tractors To North America
If you’ve been waiting for the day that AGCO would introduce its Fendt brand’s 300 Vario compact tractors to North America, wait no more. AGCO will debut a new four-model Fendt 300 Vario Gen4 series at the 2021 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, running August 31 to September 2. The firm says the built-to-order tractors possess the same cutting-edge technologies and design as larger Fendt tractors and will come in three trim packages (Power, Profi, and Profi+) that provide more than 210 options.
“The main job of this versatile tractor is to quickly and reliably complete every task before the operator has to swiftly and easily switch over to the next one,” says David Soliday, AGCO marketing manager. “The 300 Vario Gen4 tractors are equipped to handle a full range of front and rear implements. Specifically, they are designed to withstand the constant reversing and speed changes required for loader work.”
Features Galore
The series’ 311, 312, 313, and 314 models come equipped with 4.4-liter AGCO Power engines ranging in maximum power from 100 to 132 horsepower (74.6 to 98.4 kilowatts). The 314 gets an added 10-HP (7.5-kW) boost from Fendt’s DynamicPerformance power boost intelligent sensor technology, and offers the series’ top drawbar, hydraulic, and PTO performance. All models include a Vario continuously variable transmission, and all are compatible with Cargo or CargoProfi front loaders. The latter includes smart technology that can weigh loader contents, monitor top and bottom lift height and tipping angles, and has a memory function that can save frequently used loader positions.
“The base configuration—Power—is fairly simple, and while it has the big 10-inch display on the dash, it does not include the 12-in. touchscreen display on the armrest,” Soliday says. “However, these tractors can be ordered with features all the way up to those that even a 1000 Series would have for precision agriculture, guidance, and ISOBUS. All those features are easily added.”
Individual Preferences Served
Series models equipped with a Profi+ package provide a FendtONE operator station featuring a FendtONE cab with additional display areas. These include the aforementioned 12-in. touchscreen terminal in the armrest and an optional 12-in. touchscreen terminal in right side of the cab’s roof. The FendtONE operator station also provides a multi-function joystick for hydraulic, loader, and ISOBUS functions, plus a push-dial controller for display and cabin controls and fingertip-positioned color-coded buttons for various functions.
