Fendt To Highlight IDEAL 10T Combine, Momentum Planter & Rogator 900 Applicator At 2022 Commodity Classic
Fendt is putting its IDEAL 10T combine, Momentum planter, and Rogator 900 series applicator front and center at the 2022 Commodity Classic trade show happening at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center March 10 to 12. In addition to these AE50 Award winners, the AGCO-owned brand will also have Vario tractors on hand and will host an interactive, digital FendtONE Mobile Experience Center exhibit equipped with a fully functional FendtONE cab.
The IDEAL 10T
The IDEAL 10T’s 16.2-liter MAN engine is rated for 790 maximum horsepower (581 kilowatts), which Fendt says tops all North American combines. The manufacturer also touts its separation capacity as the largest, with a 12% increase over the IDEAL 9, and a harvesting capacity that’s up to 20% greater. These improvements come without an increase to the combine’s 11.5-foot (3.5-meter) chassis width. The IDEAL 10T uses a patented TrakRide track system with three available track types, and an IDEALdrive joystick driving system that makes steering wheels obsolete. IDEALdrive is designed to give operators a clear view of the header and reduce operator fatigue. Fendt is also debuting the 9350 DynaFlex, its first 50-ft. (15.2-m) draper header along with the IDEAL 10T at the show.
The Momentum
Equipped with twin 65-bushel (2,290-liter) seed tanks, the Momentum is a high-capacity planter that’s designed to reduce soil compaction and enhance seed-placement accuracy on contours and in difficult planting conditions. The planter’s Vertical Contouring Toolbar (VCT) can compensate for height differences of up to 65 inches (165 centimeters), and its Load Logic weight management system automatically shifts weight off row units by adjusting the frame. The electrically driven vDrive row units include a metering unit, seed tube, gauge wheel, residue manager, and tillage disc. Growers can equip the planter for dry and liquid fertilizer applications. The optional liquid fertilizer tank has a 1,000-gallon (3,785-L) capacity.
The Rogator 900
Farmers can use the Rogator 900 for liquid and dry fertilizer applications, giving them one solution for pre-plant, post-emergence, mid- and late-season, and post-harvest application. Converting between the formats takes less than two hours, Fendt says. The Rogator 900 is the industry’s only rear-boom sprayer with two-height adjustable clearance. Adjusting from standard to high clearance takes 45 seconds or less, and is done with a push of a button without leaving the cab. The Rogator 900 is available with steel booms from 90 to 120 ft. (27.4 to 36.6 m) or an optional 132-ft. (40.2-m) aluminum boom. Liquid tank capacity ranges from 900 to 1,300 gal (3,406 to 4,920 L). The machine’s AWD SmartDrive system continuously and independently powers each of its wheels for enhanced traction.
