Case IH Introduces New 2110 Early Riser Planter, Announces Upgrades For 2150 Early Riser
Case IH has updated its 2150 Early Riser planter and announced a new model, the 2110 Early Riser. Case IH calls the 2110 the first factory-outfitted, high-specification, rigid-mounted planter. The upgraded 2150 offers new split bulk-fill scale tank options and an available increase in liquid tank capacity. The two 2000-series Early Riser planters are available to order for the spring of 2024.
“From soybean and corn operations to producers who cultivate bedded crops like peanuts and cotton, our latest additions to the Early Riser roster are designed to help growers combat recurring planting season challenges in new ways,” says David Brennan, Case IH planter marketing manager. “Taken together, the new 2110 Early Riser Planter and improved 2150 Early Riser planter offer a host of options that allow operators to maximize uptime while still putting efficiency front and center.”
The 2110 Early Riser
Case IH’s new rigid-mount 2110 is designed for smaller fields and bedded crops such as peanuts, cotton, and specialty vegetables. Usable by lower-horsepower tractors with modest hydraulic capabilities, the new planter is also suitable for flood-irrigation and strip-till applications. It comes in six- and eight-row configurations with 30-, 36-, 38-, and 40-inch (762-, 914-, 965-, and 1,016-millimeter) spacings.
The 2110 Early Riser is built with a 7- by 7-in. (178- by 178-mm) main frame tube design. It has a 5-gallon air tank and a steel enclosure for its electronics. The planter is available with 1.9- or 3-bushel (67- or 106-liter), on-row hoppers. The 3-bu size has a new design to make seed filling easier. New recessed areas also make the larger hopper easier to handle during removal.
Available in-cab controls allow the user to manage residue control, closing system pressure, and pneumatic or hydraulic row unit downforce. Dual brackets housing three toolbar weights can provide additional downward pressure if necessary. Automated Speed Adjusted vacuum control boosts the 2110’s efficiency and accuracy, the manufacturer says.
The 2150 Early Riser
Case IH has increased the 2150 planter’s liquid fertilizer capacity from 400 to 540 gallons (1,514 to 2,044 liters) on all 12-, 16-, and 24-row Early Riser models. This provides efficiency and uptime benefits along with greater acre coverage. The larger capacity also reduces the need for tanks mounted on the tractor. Hose routing and component mounting have also been optimized on the 2150. New, optional split bulk-fill scale tanks can improve tendering and filling efficiency, according to the manufacturer.
The latest Case IH 2150 retains Early Riser accessibility features such as a large fill hole and a low tank height with excellent rearward visibility. The driver can use an in-cab display or the Cab Control wireless app on the ground to monitor the rear-fill tanks.
“With the 2110 and 2150 Early Riser planters, we continue to offer accurate technology along with a durable, dependable design, all while expanding the possibilities available to growers,” says Brennan.
