JLG Showcases New Machines At NFMT 2018

    Posted On: March 23, 2018

JLG Industries, Inc., a division of the Oshkosh Corporation that is dedicated to manufacturing world-class aerial work platforms and telehandlers, is exhibiting several low-level access solutions, vertical lifts, and compact crawler booms at the National Facilities Management & Technology Expo (NFMT) in Baltimore, Maryland.

    Reaching New Heights At NFMT

NFMT is a trade show that was first hosted in 2001 by Building Operating Management and Facility Maintenance Decisions magazines. The free expo was designed to provide government, education, commercial, office, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and industrial facilities professionals with free education and a multitude of networking and product discovery opportunities. JLG’s massive portfolio of products have a range of facilities applications, making this show an excellent platform for raising awareness about the company’s products.

The low-level access solutions available at JLG’s booth include the JLG FT70 and FT140 LiftPod personal portable lifts, which are capable of giving workers a 7-foot (2.1-meter) and 14-foot (4.3-meter) boost, respectively. These machines provide facilities professionals with a secure platform from which to use both hands to perform a variety of maintenance activities at up to a 19.5-foot (5.9-meter) working height. The 830P is another low-level access solution that features a low ground pressure, making it ideal for use on sensitive flooring.

Two new EcoLift human-powered lifts will also be at JLG’s booth, which feature an easy-to-use lift/lower mechanism for handling light-duty tasks such as changing light bulbs, hanging décor, or installing or working with ductwork. Attendees will also get hands-on time with one of JLG’s newest vertical lifts, the 10MSP, which features a new faster maximum stowed drive speed of 5 mph (8 km/h), and support for simultaneous driving and lifting.

    A Virtual Sneak Peek

Although it won’t be in the company’s booth, JLG’s X1000AJ Compact Crawler Boom, coming late fall 2018, will be viewable as a 3D model. This machine will feature a 500-pound (227-kilogram) unrestricted platform capacity, and a work envelope that spans 54 feet (16.5 meters) horizontally, and 105-foot (32-meter) vertically (work height).
