CLARK S40-60 Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Offer Lifting Capacities From 8,000 To 12,000 Pounds
CLARK's new S40-60 forklift truck lineup succeeds the material handling company’s C40-55 forklifts, providing new technology and the enhanced safety features of CLARK’s S-SERIES lift trucks. Just a few of the high-tech features include onboard diagnostics, an interactive dash, and protection against powertrain overheating.
“The introduction of the S40 to the market and to the CLARK lineup builds on the CLARK promise to create lift trucks that are safe, durable, and operator focused,” says Brandon Bullard, director of sales and marketing at CLARK.
S40-60 Lift Truck Options
CLARK’s newest forklift series offers a wide selection of load capacities, starting with the 8,000-pound (3,629-kilogram)-capacity S40. The rest of the lineup includes the 9,000-lb (4,082-kg) S45, 10,000-lb (4536-kg) S50, 11,000-lb (4989-kg) S55, and the 12,000-lb (5,443-kg) S60. CLARK offers the S40-S60 series in LPG and diesel Kubota engines, denoted by a respective L or D at the end of the model number. Kubota’s WG3800 LPG engine is rated for 85.3 horsepower (63.6 kilowatts), and the V3800-CR diesel engine produces 74 HP (55.2 kW).
Safety First
CLARK says the new lift trucks offer an optimal center of gravity for improved stability, as well as a mast designed to increase visibility. Managers can set operational speed limits and controls can be password-protected to prevent unauthorized operators from changing settings. The S40-S60 lineup is also available with such features as an integrated backup camera, LED lights, and an all-weather cab to suit the needs of various worksites. CLARK equips the S40-S60 models with self-activating parking brakes, and the lift trucks’ wet disc brakes offer reliable stopping power under load. Their onboard diagnostics help operators quickly locate and address issues during operation.
