Liebherr Shows THP 80-LP Pump At World Of Concrete 2024
Liebherr was on hand for the 50th anniversary of World of Concrete this month in Las Vegas, a trade show for commercial concrete and masonry professionals.
Liebherr showcased several machines, including the THP 80-LP truck-mounted concrete city pump. The flexible, boomless pump was built specifically for the North American market and is Liebherr’s most compact truck-mounted pump.
About The Liebherr THP 80-LP
Ideal for jobsites in residential and urban environments and other areas with limited space, the THP 80-LP packs many of the same features of larger truck-mounted boom pumps into a compact size. The concrete pump has a 159-gallon (600-liter) hopper and a total length of around 28.4 feet (8.65 meters).
The THP 80-LP mounts on a 2-axle truck chassis with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 22,684 pounds (10,289 kilograms), which is much lighter than truck-mounted boom pumps. This means the truck can be operated without a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
In The Liebherr Loop
The low-stroking, low-wear pumping kit of the THP 80-LP has an open-loop hydraulic circuit that is powerful and dependable with low maintenance requirements. The city pump delivers high pumping performance with a suction inlet larger in diameter than the cylinder to ensure cylinder loading and discharge with even the most extreme concrete types.
Split wear plates make maintenance easy. A high-pressure application option is also available. The pump produces 1,088 psi (75 bar) of concrete pressure on the rod side and 1,813 psi (125 bar) on the piston side. It has a maximum flow rate of 93 cubic yards per hour (71 cubic meters per hour) on the rod end and 56 cubic yards per hour (42.8 cubic meters per hour) at the piston end.
