High-Horsepower Tractors Lead Inventory Growth In Used Tractors In Canada
According to Sandhills Global’s February market reports covering used tractors on MarketBook.ca, used high-horsepower tractors (300 hp or greater) constituted the leading growth category for the month. High-hp tractor inventory levels were 104.1% higher than year-ago levels and 3.28% higher than in January. Asking values decreased slightly in February, down 0.37%, but were up 1.23% year over year and are continuing an upward trend.
The used 175- to 299-hp tractor category showed the steepest asking value decreases at 1.22% M/M and 4.23% YOY. Auction values have decreased more than asking values M/M, with a 1.18% decrease in February. However, auction values were up 0.28% YOY and are maintaining an upward trend. Used high-horsepower tractors led other categories in M/M auction value decreases, down 2.68%.
