Canada Sees Lower Prices On Fewer Used Construction Machines

Sandhills Global’s newest market reports cover February data for used construction equipment on MarketBook.ca and other Sandhills platforms. Canadian inventory levels and values decreased modestly this month, but the year-over-year reductions were more dramatic.
Used crawler dozers headlined the month-to-month inventory declines with a 3.4%M/M loss, while loader backhoes led the year-over-year drops with 22.9% YOY fewer units available.
Auction values in Canada fell by 2.9% M/M for used mini excavators and 6% YOY for track skid steers. Asking values slid 1.8% M/M for loader backhoes and 5.1% YOY for both crawler dozers and wheel loaders.
